We recently heard from a customer who claimed the gasket in an Open Head cover made his drum too hard to close…so he removed it and the drum then closed easily! Shocking but true! The gasket is an integral part of the UN Certification and if removed, invalidates the Certification. Closing instructions are given out with every Skolnik order, and if necessary, accessories are available to aid the closing process.
