This past week the 2014 Unified Wine & Grape Symposium had a record number of attendees.  The event, which was held at the Sacramento Convention Center in Sacramento, California, brought together thousands of wine enthusiasts from all points of the winemaking process; from vineyards to dinner table.  The goal of the Symposium is to offer all members of the industry a chance to learn about the latest news and innovations affecting wine and grapes today.  The event has been running for over 20 years, and each year the industry-sponsored event brings new information about production, marketing, and sales to be shared.

The Symposium kicked off with a positive analysis of the upcoming year for the American wine industry.  The good news followed through the various breakout sessions and workshops where attendees interacted with expert panels on a range of topics concerning the industry.  The convention is a great opportunity for networking within the industry as the huge collection of knowledgeable and experienced people are all meeting under one roof.

Skolnik Industries, featuring stainless steel cooperage, was proud to be one of over 600 exhibitors on the showcase floor this year.  The exhibits ran Tuesday and Wednesday of the convention, January 28-29, 2014, and offered a look at the diverse companies that help make the industry successful.  We sent two representatives to spend time talking with the conference attendees and discussing the benefits of Skolnik stainless steel wine barrels.

The three day 2014 Unified Grape and Wine Symposium was a successful event that brought together thousands of members of the wine and grape industry to share ideas and express concerns.  Next year’s Symposium is scheduled for January 27-29, 2015.  For more information about this year’s event and to look forward to the next visit the Unified website at www.unifiedsymposium.org.
