Skolnik Industries Inc. specializes in the manufacture of dangerous goods containers and to further expand the markets for our steel drums, we use a satellite selling concept. We believe that local distributors and resellers have the best opportunity to sell into their regional markets. Since Skolnik is located in Chicago and we ship worldwide, we depend upon our global network of steel drum manufacturers, steel drum reconditioners and steel drum resellers to buy and then sell our products to local users. The system has been effective throughout the United States and Canada as well as on 6 of the 7 continents. Like the carbon steel drums, Skolnik stainless steel drums also have been particularly designed to be thicker and stronger than industry standards, and are specifically intended to withstand harsh care and possible transportation accidents. Our Hazmat containers and Salvage Drums are made to meet specific UN and DOT standards as well as mil-spec requirements. Skolnik steel drums encompass a wide range of applicability including wine barrels, munitions, pharmaceuticals, foods and beverages, paints and coatings, solvents, Hazmat, maintenance, and environmental purposes, and all of these are available through our network of distributors and resellers.
