Skolnik steel drums are designed to maintain safe environments within the workplace and the community, as well as engaging in recycling programs to reduce and reuse materials for steel drums. Skolnik steel drums and Salvage Drums can ensure that hazardous materials are safely being packaged, transported, and disposed of according to specific guidelines set forth by the UN and DOT. Because Skolnik drums are thicker, heavier and stronger than industry standards, they play a very significant role in reducing environmental incidents involving the leakage and spillage of hazardous materials, which create harmful risks for populations. Additionally, after their use in the transport and disposal of hazardous waste, Skolnik steel drums can be reconditioned for reuse as industrial packaging and eventually prepared for recycling at the end of their useful life. Skolnik supports reusable packaging and the Reusable Industrial Packaging Association (RIPA), which promotes the safe and efficient manufacturing, collection, and reconditioning of steel drums.
