Skolnik steel drums have played significant roles in the packaging, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials and both low-level and transuranic (TRU-waste) materials. Skolnik hazmat containers, carbon steel and Salvage Drums are made specifically to comply with the applicable recommendations and regulations of the UN and DOT transporting radioactive materials and waste. Skolnik waste drums can be procured in accordance with NQA-1 Basic requirements (Nuclear Quality Assurance). Compliant with the applicable portions of 7A-Type and IP I, II and III requirements, these drums are heavier and thicker than industry standards allowing them to be a fundemental and efficient package in the storage, transporation and protection of nuclear and radioactive materials.
