The Skolnik overpack drum has numerous applications that include overpacking damaged drums, non-compliant drums or leaking drums. Applications for this drum include: the collection and transport of damaged or leaking packagings, in the clean-up of contaminated sites, emergency response, secondary containment and transport of hazardous solids, and for use as a spill kit. When purchasing overpack drums, users should keep in mind the size of the item being placed inside, and specify a drum that is both larger in height and diameter than the drum being overpacked. In addition, if corrosion resistance is a factor, Skolnik offers a complete line of overpacks in 304 and 316 stainless steel.
