Type A & 7A steel drums

Skolnik 7A Type A drums, also referred to as Type A drums, are manufactured for containment and shipment of allowable and compliant radioactive materials. These drums are available in both stainless steel and carbon steel and have been tested according to Type A & 7A regulations (IP 1, 2 and 3) and are intended for use as shipping and storage containers for permissible radioactive materials in accordance with 49 CFR. These steel drums have undergone harsh drop, stacking, hydrostatic and puncture tests, and upon request meet NQA-1 Basic requirements. Skolnik does not, and cannot, certify this packaging as a DOT 7A Type A package. It is the responsibility of the packager/shipper to certify that the package meets all the applicable requirements. These drums come in sizes ranging from 5-110 gallon steel drums with a steel thickness of 16-20 gauge (0.9-1.5 mm).
