UN Certification and Test Reports
The safe, secure transportation of dangerous goods (hazardous materials) depends in large part on the container in which the material is transported. Dangerous goods containers are fabricated and tested to withstand the rigors of multi-modal transportation.
The UN Performance Oriented Packaging Standards are aimed at assessing a container's integrity when exposed to extreme testing.
While regulatory enforcement of performance testing standards is conducted on a per country basis, the UN recommendations are the minimum standards with which all international dangerous goods shipments must comply.
