Finding exceptional usage of our products is always amazing and this one stood out as a unique blend of metal and mind! Our customer, Deluxe Design, specializes in providing music festival signage and product solutions. Their client, a Las Vegas race car venue, had a specific request for them to develop a secure and efficient way to provide concert-goers a last minute opportunity to dispose of illegal contraband prior to being searched upon entering the concert. The container needed to be secure, have an entry point for items to be dropped, and also be unable to reach in and retrieve. The 2″ opening in the center of the lid on the Skolnik 10 gallon barrel provided just such an opening. The locking ring, with a hasp for a padlock was perfect to secure the lid. With the Las Vegas Police Department and Clark County Sheriff being the only holders of the lock combinations, festival promoters were confident in knowing that the collected items would be safely disposed. The Skolnik website and customer service provided all of the necessary information that allowed Deluxe Design to quickly create a solution for this request.
