On 11 August 1999, the DOT is hosting a public focus group meeting to discuss the issues concerning the effectiveness of their programs. This, the second of three meetings will address the current approach for gaining compliance and will consider the methods and ways in which the DOT‘s various operating administration’s intervene to improve safety. There will be presentations by the DOT and a panel discussion, including yours truly, to respond to experiences and issues raised. I encourage you to attend this meeting to listen, learn and effect change. The location is at the FAA Building, 2300 East Devon Ave., Des Plaines, IL on Wed, 11 August from 9am to 4pm.
