In a recent edition of the COSTHA Newsletter, I read about AdvanceOnline, a Web-based company that offers on-line training programs for Emergency Response, OSHA and the Environmental industry. While still in its infancy, a first visit to the site did reveal that for a relatively modest sum, one can attend, learn and receive credit for training without leaving the office or home. While this is not an endorsement of this type of training format, I believe that it is an interesting training option for those that might not be able to attend a conventional training program which would require time away from the office, and possible travel.
