Using your personal vehicle for hazardous materials that aren‘t for your personal use, but rather for sale to customers, is not a good idea. Salesmen carry samples in company vehicles on a regular basis, and under the "Materials of Trade" exceptions, they’re permitted to do so, but usually company auto insurance policies take that into account. It‘s not likely that your own personal auto insurance program includes anything like that. If you are involved in an accident, rest assured that the insurance adjusters will try to find anything that will save their company from having to pay a large claim. If it’s discovered that you are carrying hazardous materials that are for sale as "cargo" in your car, you may not collect on the claim, and the insurance company might not wish to re-insure you under your personal policy. Once again, a trained professional should be consulted to insure regulatory compliance with this delivery.
